The colorful propaganda of Xinjiang (1)
These propaganda pictures from Xinjiang are interesting. They remind me of a photo (see below) circulated in late September or early October last year, after the Ilham Tohti trial. Liu Xiaoyuan, one of Ilham’s lawyers, took the picture at Ürümqi airport. The message on the picture says “I hold the Party closer than my own mother”. On the upper left, it says “Speaking of Our Values”. Maybe someone has seen these posters and also made a picture? Some of the words on the upper right side are not easy to read. There are “affluence”, “democracy”, “civilization”, “harmony”, “freedom”, “equality”, “fairness and justice”, “patriotism” and a few others.
