RMMLA Chinese Literature and Film Since 1900 Panel CFP
Call for Papers: Chinese Literature and Film Since 1900 Panel(s) at 2015 RMMLA Convention Santa Fe, New Mexico ~ October 8-10, 2015 We welcome paper proposals that address a range of critical issues and themes relating to modern and contemporary Chinese literature and film. Topics may include but are not limited to:
Chinese Literature, film, and the question of modernity
Gender, sexuality, and subjectivity
Historical imagination, political power, and cultural production
Author, auteur, and authority
Film adaptation
Chinese Literature, film, and popular culture
Transnational cultural and media production and reception
Sinophone literature and film
Please submit a proposal of no more than 250 words to Yanhong Zhu (zhuy at wlu.edu) by March 1, 2015. Notice of acceptance or rejection will be given no later than March 30, 2015.
