Luther College position
POSITION:  Visiting Instructor or Assistant Professor in Chinese; a one-year, part-time replacement position.
BEGINNING DATE:  Late August 2015
QUALIFICATIONS:  The candidate must have native or near native fluency in both Chinese and English, and at least ABD status in Chinese language, literature, linguistics, or related fields. Prior experience in teaching Chinese at the college level in the U.S. is preferred.  We are seeking a dynamic individual with demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching.
RESPONSIBILITIES:  The position is part-time, anticipated to carry a 5 course teaching load (based on enrollment) to include beginning and intermediate Chinese language courses and China in World, a foreign culture course.  Responsibilities will include working with Chinese language tutors, organizing Chinese language table with a student assistant, and preparing related cultural activities with student organizations.
