Ling Yu's A Tree Planted in Summer (trans. Fiona Sze-Lorrain)
Published for the first time in a bilingual edition, these fifteen "train poems" are culled from Taiwanese poet Ling Yu's latest collection, Fields and Gardens / Five Forty-Nine P.M. (2014), which recently received the New Poetry Honorable Mention for the Wu Zhuoliu Literary Award. Currently one of the most influential lyrical poets in Taiwan, Ling Yu presents a sampling of meditative vignettes that depict a pastoral quiet and imagination. Translated by poet-translator Fiona Sze-Lorrain, A Tree Planted in Summer carries a cover painting by renowned Taiwanese artist Yeh Tzu-Chi.

被列入美國與國際詩壇具有影響力的「普林斯頓當代詩人」系列的詩人、翻譯家、音樂家——菲奥娜‧施‧羅琳 (Fiona Sze-Lorrain)，已出版三本英文詩集，均深獲好評。這本《無形之眼》是她的第一本中英對照的雙語詩集。在題材與表現上她企圖開拓一種新的形式，讓古典與現代、東方與西方，融為一爐，使詩的視野更為寬廣。讀者可以從這本詩集中的十一首詩，看到她簡練的用詞，文句的音樂性，對主題的關注與營造，以及字裡行間閃現的哲思，使她的詩兼具一種當代感與空間臨場感。這本詩集由臺灣著名詩人零雨翻譯，封面採用臺灣知名畫家葉子奇的畫作，展示了施．羅琳兩個世界交會的奥祕，值得中文世界與英文世界的讀者好好品味。
