List members will have noticed that on Saturday, and now today, MCLC LIST posts have a different look. I have begun using the blog tool on the new MCLC site. Here’s how it works: when I post something on the online blog, it is automatically sent out to list members as an email. In addition to the email, you now have the option of viewing postings online. In terms of submitting posts, you can do so at: http://u.osu.edu/mclc/list/suggestions/. You can also find the same “submit a post” page from a dropdown box under MCLC LIST on the MCLC homepage (http://u.osu.edu/mclc/). (You can also submit postings to me directly via my email address, but please indicate clearly that you intend it for dissemination on the list.) You can now “comment” (see “leave a comment” at the bottom of each post) directly to a posting online. Comments are moderated, however, which means they will come back to me (I think), and I’ll then post them on the blog. The plan for now is that you will also receive “comments” as emails. I’m trying to keep the list functioning in much the same way as it always has. I’m new to this WordPress platform, so please be patient while I adjust.
On another note, the conversion of the bibliography portion (http://u.osu.edu/mclc/bibliographies/) of the new website is now complete. We are working bit by bit on converting the older “Web” publications and “book reviews.”
