We're delighted to announce that the Chinese English Literary Translation
course will run for a third time, from 22nd to 27th September 2014 in the
Yellow Mountains. The course will offer a mix of literary translation and
creative writing workshops, with guest speakers.

We will be running six workshops, three from English into Chinese, and
three from Chinese into English. Each group will translate a short text by
their writer in residence, led by their workshop leader, an experienced
literary translator. The groups are as follows:

 
·      Michael Mohammed Ahmad, led by Wang Weidong
·      Suzanne Joinson, led by Wu Qing
·      Nam Le, led by Hu Zongfeng
·      Ah Yi, led by Eric Abrahamsen
·      Li Juan, led by Andrea Lingenfelter
·      Li Pingyi, led by Bonnie McDougall

 
The organisers are Foreign Languages Teaching and Research Press, in
partnership with the British Centre for Literary Translation. Deadline for
applications is 10th August 2014.
