The Department of Asian Languages and Literatures at Pomona College
invites applications for a visiting lecturer position in Chinese to begin
August 2014. This temporary position carries a teaching load of 2-3
elementary/intermediate Chinese language courses during the 2014-15
academic year. Applicants must have native or near-native fluency in
Mandarin Chinese and English. Ph.D. preferred, but candidates with an M.A.
degree and demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching will also be
considered. The geographical scope of the search is limited to the
Southern California area. Applications should include the following
materials: cover letter describing teaching interests and experience,
curriculum vitae, statement on teaching, teaching portfolio (list of
courses taught and teaching evaluations), and three letters of
