For those interested in the National Library Hotel, I received a helpful
reply, with a link to the booking page on the Elong website, courtesy of
colleagues from the Goethe Institute in Beijing.

It looks like the hotel is quite new (opened last year) and reasonably
priced. (320 a night as opposed to 420 a night at the Hubei Hotel across
the street).
