Visiting Instructor or Visiting Assistant Professor of Chinese Studies

The Department of Modern Languages & Literatures at the College of William
& Mary invites applications for a one-year replacement instructor or
Visiting Assistant Professor for the academic year 2013-14. Primary
responsibility will be instruction of content/culture courses, both lower
and upper division, including Chinese Popular Culture and Modern Chinese
Literature. Candidate will also offer a senior seminar in a topic of his
or her choice. Teaching load will be six courses per year (3-3). Salary is
$40,000 per year.

Required: M.A. in Chinese literature, culture or other related field,
although a Ph.D. or ABD status is preferred. The candidate should have
demonstrable experience in teaching content courses at the college level,
and must possess native or near-native fluency in both Chinese and English.
