The article on the new adaptation of "Xiaoao jianghu" states that
"previous adaptations were produced in Hong Kong and Taiwan." True; but in
the mainland as well. The 40-episode 2001 version was produced by 中国电视剧
制作中心 (CTPC) and widely broadcast in the PRC.

Chiang Kai Shek's dislike of Jin Yong's Xiao' Ao Jiang Hu went beyond the
depiction of corruption. The character of Linghu Chong's master "Gentleman
Swordsman Yue Buqun' is thought to be based on Chiang Kai shek. This
hypocritical gentleman shows his wicked side as the novel progresses.
