Post-doctoral Fellow in Gender and Sexuality in Late Imperial Chinese
Literature (Ref 201200933)

The School of Chinese at the University of Hong Kong, is currently seeking
applications for the 28th Round Post-doctoral Fellow Scheme in the field
of "Gender and Sexuality in Late Imperial Chinese Literature." Appointment
will be made for a period of 2 to 3 years on or before July 31, 2013.
Applicants must have earned their doctoral degree no earlier than January
2008 and no later than June 2013. The PDF appointee is expected to devote
full-time to research on the issues of gender and sexuality in late
imperial Chinese literature (primarily in drama and/or fiction). We are
seeking a scholar who has a recent PhD in a relevant field, with an
excellent research record, as well as proficiency in literary Chinese,
modern Chinese and English. The School of Chinese would encourage
applicants to submit a one page research plan.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and
experience will be offered. Annual leave and medical benefits will also be
