Tenure Track Position in Chinese/Asian Studies at St. Mary¹s College of
Maryland

 
 
St. Mary¹s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary¹s City is accepting
applications for a tenure track position as an Assistant Professor of
Chinese/Asian Studies with primary specialization in modern Chinese
Literature or Cultural Studies starting in fall 2013. Ph.D. in hand is
strongly preferred. Ability and commitment to teach all levels of Chinese
and courses in English in one¹s field, near native fluency in both Chinese
and English, and US college teaching experience are required.

 
Candidate must be interested in working in a multi-language department
with a cultural studies orientation and in actively participating in the
growing Asian Studies Cross-Disciplinary program. Experience and interest
in study abroad programs is highly desirable.  A commitment to continued
professional activities, an interest in mentoring student projects, and a
desire to participate in departmental and all-college activities are
expected.  An interest in attracting and retaining students from
underrepresented groups is desirable.
