A new post on Rectified.name, "Of quackery and rhinos," offers a more
thoughtful take on the reports. Whether the reports are ultimately proven
true or not -- and the Daily Mail is not known for scrupulous journalism
-- it is worth bearing in mind, as the author mentions, that accusations
of child cannibalism and other barbarous, backward practices are an old
tactic for stirring up xenophobia.
