The drugs must be fake, pretending to be dried human placenta (紫河车),
which 
was used in traditional Chinese medicine. Yet since the 2005 regulations
of Ministry of Health,  the placenta belongs to the new mother and it is
illegal to buy and sell placenta powder in China.

2005年卫生部专门颁发了一份《卫生部关于产妇分娩后胎盘处理问题的批复》。文件规
定：“产妇分娩后胎盘应当归产妇所有。产妇放弃或者捐献胎盘的，可以由医疗
机构进行处置。任何单位和个人不得买卖胎盘。” 按照此项规定，药材商不可能从医疗机
构获取胎盘，医院也不可能私自加工和制作胎盘粉，网店的各种售卖行为更是违
法。
