Impressive! All that text and barely a single mention of the people who
actually made the magazine. I suppose "Chinese who immigrated to English
speaking countries at an early age, generally four or five years old,
and stayed there into adulthood" refers to Alice Xin Liu, the Pathlight
managing editor, but *all* of the rest of the translators for both
Pathlight and Chutzpah are non-Chinese native English speakers who
learned Chinese as a second language. Perhaps that would be embarrassing
for the Global Times to admit? The China Daily has a different (though
also flawed) take on it:
