Impact Design Hub (IDH) operates at the intersection of journalism and design for social impact. This month they launched an in-depth account and analysis of Development Engineering. The series kicked off with an essay<https://impactdesignhub.org/2017/01/19/development-engineering-critical-overview/> from two PhD students at UC Berkeley explaining "DevEng" from past to present, why it matters now, and what tensions the field is experiencing. Through this inquiry, and over multiple conversations, you will explore how engineering practice and education is being reimagined to help solve wicked problems. Like all nascent fields, there’s much to consider and question—in reading this, it’s entirely possible that you’ll come away with just as many questions as answers.
