We are pleased to announce that submissions are now open for the 26th Edition of the Annual Hispanic and Lusophone Studies Symposium (OSUHALSS), which will be held from March 24th - 25th, 2023, in a hybrid format, at The Ohio State University. We are thrilled to announce that we will be accompanied by the keynote speakers Dr. Aarón Rodríguez Serrano (Universitat Jaume I), Dr. Victoria Saramago (University of Chicago), and Dr. Sergio Villalobos (University of Michigan).



OSUHALSS is an annual graduate student-run conference that proposes a panoramic view of the current debates in the fields of Latin American, Hispanic, and Lusophone Studies, in a wide spectrum of interests and expressions.



Submissions related to the following areas are encouraged, though submissions are not limited to these:

We welcome proposals for traditional papers, as well as other formats, including performance, creative writing, and video essay, among others.

Abstracts should be a maximum of 500 words and should be submitted in PDF or Word format, and the delivery format must be specified (in-person or online).

 

Submissions will close on January 13th, 2023. 

 

Authors will be notified of abstract decisions in early February 2023.
