Originally MindsOn was going to do the full development for our your plan for health site. I believe they have extensive experience with Drupal, and I, like Ken, also impressed by their front end design skills.  If you're considering development I think it is certainly worth your time to have a conversation with the company.

OSU HR has been working the a local company called MindsOn. Their front-end development and design are exceptionally good (and they worked directly with us on accessibility and seemed to "get" that pretty well).

I know they have some experience with Drupal, but I am not sure how much. (HRITS is doing their own Drupal work, porting the MindsOn templates into Drupal.) Keith Newton (knewton at hr.osu.edu<mailto:knewton at hr.osu.edu>) is a member of this listserv and may better be able to answer your question or connect you with someone in HR who is more familiar with MindsOn's Drupal chops.

I know we've had a few true Drupal vendors come through campus.

  *   A higher up at PrometSource came to a campus meet up.
  *   We've had contact (but no business) with Acquia over the years. I know Mike Gianelli (mike.gianelli at acquia.com<mailto:mike.gianelli at acquia.com>) would be interested in talking with people interested in Drupal services.

My group has a need for a contracting resource (web developer with Drupal/PHP experience) to start soon.  I understand that OSU Purchasing and/or the OCIO have one or more "body shop" contracts in place with local firms who may be able to supply such a resource.  Do any of you have experience with these contracts or know who I should contact to get started?
