[Vwoolf] How did VW and LW send corrections to the printers?

Dear Nicola,
Brilliant! I should have thought of looking there, but didn't. Your
examples tend to confirm my sense that corrections would have been sent
in exactly this way, in the form of a letter spelling out what the
compositor would need to change on the page.
