[Vwoolf] Online seminar “A Room of One’s Own in Europe ” – Programme (2024/25)

Dear all

We are pleased to announce the programme for the online seminar devoted to
the echoes and circulations of Virginia Woolf's *A Room of One's Own* in
Europe.

Bringing together scholars who will trace the reception of *A Room of One’s
Own* and guest speakers whose artistic, literary, and publishing endeavours
have contributed to its posterity, this seminar offers to explore the
legacy of Woolf’s essay in a number of European countries.

The sessions will be held in English, on Zoom, on Thursdays 6-8pm (CET)

14 November 2024 : *A Room of One’s Own in Spain*
with Laura Lojo Rodriguez (Professor, University of Santiago de Compostela)
& Celia Recarey (editor and translator)

5 December 2024 : *A Room of One’s Own in Lithuania*
with Linara Bartkuviene (Associate Professor, University of Vilnius) &
Neringa Bulotaite (actor)

27 February 2025 : *A Room of One’s Own in Italy*
with Elisa Bolchi (Associate Professor, University of Ferrara) & Serena
Ballista (writer and feminist activist)

20 March 2025 : *A Room of One’s Own in Germany*
with Henrike Höllein-Krause (PhD Candidate, Freie Universität Berlin) &
Susanne Kuhlendahl (graphic novelist)

24 April 2025 : *A Room of One’s Own in Turkey*
with Demet Karabulut Dede (Fulbright Scholar, University of Princeton –
Haliç University) & Jale Karabekir (founder and artistic director of the
feminist theatre company Tiyatro Boyali Kus)

Mai 2025 : *A Room of One’s Own in France *(date and guest speaker to be
announced)
with Valérie Favre (Associate Professor, Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne
University) & Anne-Laure Rigeade (Associate Professor, Paris Est Créteil
University).
