Dear all

Can anyone help me with this enquiry. I have read Laura Marcus' paper "Some Ancestral Dread:" Woolf. Autobiography , and the Question of "Shame" which comes from the book Virginia Woolf and Heritage.

In this paper (on p268) she says that A Sketch of The Past was composed between April 1939 and November 1940. I am wondering if anyone knows how did she derive to that conclusion? And is there anywhere else I can read about when the Sketch was composed?

Would be grateful for any help.
