[Vwoolf] Virginia Woolf Summer Course 2024

Dear Woolfians,

Just a reminder of our annual summer course on Virginia Woolf. This year, the course runs twice: first, live online, 8-12 July 2024. Then in person in Cambridge, 4-9 August 2024.

Our theme is Woolf and Childhood. Join us for an intensive week of lectures, tutorials, talks, discussions and more. We will study:

• ‘A Sketch of the Past’ (1939), in Moments of Being and selections from Hyde Park Gate News
• Jacob’s Room (1922)
• To the Lighthouse (1927)
• The Waves (1931)
• The Years (1937)

Plus talks on Woolf's siblings; Woolf's relationship with Julian Bell; Katherine Mansfield on childhood; and more.

The course in Cambridge will visit the Wren Library at Trinity College (on which the library in A Room of One's Ownis based); King's College Chapel and buildings; and more.
