Hello, everyone,
Thank you so much to all who responded to my Google Form.
I’m writing to announce that Dalloway Day is indeed happening at the Center at West Park here in New York on June 20th, starting at 5pm.
We have an Eventbrite sign up<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.eventbrite.com/e/918316418127?aff=oddtdtcreator__;!!KGKeukY!w1RJBck3-9jXjWM8vt_JZbLoMIYydRhT8in6wqrYkwbjAp_I98ix-pQkCVaR7KqRctiw8CxmwfYnmUjMvU7KMQ$ > for anyone who would like to attend, or you can just email me and I will add you to the list.
The plan is to have a mini-conference/discussion session, followed by a film screening.
If anyone is interested in presenting or leading a discussion about the novel, we’d love to hear from you. I’m hoping to have a blend of established scholars and students sharing their ideas about the novel to make this a truly community-orientated event.
This is going to be the first of many Woolf-themed events at the Center at West Park, which is a gorgeous and historic 19th-century building on the Upper West Side. If you need added incentive to save the date for Dalloway Day, then know that this event is also for a good cause! There is a scheme to demolish the landmark building currently operated by the Center at West Park if they can’t raise the funds to buy it from the Presbyterian Church that currently owns it. You can learn more about the building and CWP on their website: https://urldefense.com/v3/__http://www.centeratwestpark.org__;!!KGKeukY!w1RJBck3-9jXjWM8vt_JZbLoMIYydRhT8in6wqrYkwbjAp_I98ix-pQkCVaR7KqRctiw8CxmwfYnmUhUsAxe_Q$ <https://urldefense.com/v3/__http://www.centeratwestpark.org__;!!KGKeukY!w1RJBck3-9jXjWM8vt_JZbLoMIYydRhT8in6wqrYkwbjAp_I98ix-pQkCVaR7KqRctiw8CxmwfYnmUhUsAxe_Q$ >.
Dalloway Day is also a free event, with the option to donate. All proceeds are going to the Center at West Park.
If you have any questions, or if you’d like to attend or otherwise get involved, please email me!
