[Vwoolf] Who wrote of the "triumph in the little room"?

Another question for the many helpful and learned subscribers to this list.

Years ago I read a work of criticism that referred to “Clarissa’s triumph in the little room.” I think that quotation is exact, but it could have been “her triumph” or “the triumph.” In any case, it seemed to me a superbly telling phrase, and I want very much to quote it. But now I can’t find the author. I thought it must have been Hermione Lee, but it doesn’t seem to be anywhere in her work. Then I thought it might have been Gillian Beer, but again I can’t find anything like it in her work either.

Was anyone else as impressed as I was by the phrase, but impressed enough to remember the author?
