Another reason why I ought to have joined this list years before I did, 
instead of peering furtively at the archives. Thank you. ("Ish-bel"? 
That is a think new to me.) I have two editions of the BBC Dictionary of 
Pronouncing Names, but neither includes what in America are called given 
names, so this is very useful indeed.
