[Vwoolf] Proofs

I recollect that back in the 1970s one standard publisher's letter about proofs claimed that even the addition of a comma could necessitate resetting three pages of text. I also recollect a proof-reader who spotted an error asking for a rewording that used the same number of characters. Some things have got better.
