Dear Vara,

Haven‘t posted in a while, so hope I‘m doing this right regards the subject specification; "lustre" is a synonym for chandelier, also spelt "luster", if therebis any confusion regarding this...

Best, Palvasha

>
> This guest essay is of interest to Woolfians not because of the focal point of the essay--the problems that emerge when only men write about men's lives and when male biographers are complicit with the subjects they study--but because it brings into focus the various obstacles that a biographer encounters when trying to locate materials, access them, and acquire permissions for publishing them. The author--Ruth Franklin--argues for "shared access" to essential documents to create a more inclusive and insightful culture of researching lives.
