Sibylle Lewitscharoff has written a daring and challenging biographical
novel about the German philosopher Hans Blumenberg, and one of his students
(in the novel) is Isa, who, in addition to being heavily influenced by
Blumenberg, "was controlled by another figure: Virginia Woolf." She was
"thoroughly 'Dallowayized'" (43), or, "durch und durch '*dallowayisiert*'"
(50), auf deutsch.

Michael Kumpfmueller is also a German novelist, and he just recently
published a biographical novel about Woolf titled *Ach, Virginia*. Here is
the link:

Something's going on with Woolf and the Germans. I'm thinking of proposing
an MLA panel about German Biofiction. If anyone is interested, you should
let me know.

All Best,
michael
