This is so generous of you, Elisa. It's fantastic to see St Ives. I stayed there in 1998, but in the extension, which I'm afraid ruins the classical symmety of the original architecture. The VWSGB is taking a trip to St Ives in October, all being well.

Dear all--Having been fortunate enough to visit St. Ives and Talland House twice, in 2003 and in 2012, I have finally gotten around to sharing the pictures I and later I and my students took of the house, gardens, and of a trip we took to the lighthouse.  I have put them all in a blog entry, along with the Ordinance Survey map of Talland House in 1877.  Since so much of the Talland House garden has been disappearing due to development over the years, I thought people might appreciate a historical record.  Feel free to use these in classes; any publication should cite me and the website.
