This week someone put up a video of a discussion of Woolf's North and
South. I am reading it for the first time and enjoying it very much. I
recognize it has problems but if arguably it's a conventional woman's
novel, it grapples with issues central to women then and now. It's good
there is a new edition, but I am liking the Julia Briggs's edition (with
her introduction in the Penguin series).
