Sorry, I dozed off –they must be the Executors (witnesses generally can’t take bequests).

I CAN’T SWEAR TO THIS, BUT I THINK THEY ARE THE WITNESSES.

Subject: [Vwoolf] Question about England and Wales National Probate Calendar

So, I was looking at the England & Wales National Probate calendar for Adrian Stephen, and it gives is his name, address, date of death, and then says:

“Probate London 25 October 20 Catherine Elizabeth Conn Stephen widow and Duncan James Corrowr Grant artist.”

Does this mean that Adrian left his money to Karin and Duncan, or does it mean that they were the executors of his will?

BTW, he died with “Effects” worth 12,093 pounds and change.

Thanks for any help you can give!

Danell
