Summer courses in Cambridge 2020
Just a reminder that there is an early bird discount for the 2020 summer
courses for bookings made by 15 November. This year our theme is Woolf's
Women. We will study some of her fascinating women characters: Mrs
Ramsay, Mrs Dalloway and her Daughter, Miss La Trobe, alongside some of
the brilliant women in her life: Julia Stephen, Vita Sackville West,
Ethel Smyth, Vanessa Bell, Katherine Mansfield, &c.
Participants are of all ages and come from all over the world. We have
lectures, seminars, tutorials, plus visits to places of interest in
Cambridge. Participants live in a Cambridge college and enjoy a rare
chance to read, think, and discuss literature for a week. Followed by an
optional day trip to Sissinghurst.
We also offer a course in the following week on Reading the 1920s:
Lawrence, Forster, Radclyffe Hall, Woolf, FWW writings, TS Eliot.
Discount for members of recognised Woolf societies.
