Dear all,

I had the great privilege of attending the opening party for the new
headquarters of the Center for Fiction in Brooklyn. You may be interested
and delighted as I was that a huge photo mural of Woolf dominates one of
the landings. (The others are Toni Morrison and, I believe, Gabriel Garcia
Marquez--good company, in my opinion.)

I'll be leading a reading group on Woolf and Forster there starting next
Tuesday. For a fee ($160), you can attend the five-session class. If you
know people in greater NYC who might be interested, please pass it on.
These are always really fun ways for brilliant common readers to get
together and talk books.
