Plenty on VW partnering VS-W in a doubles competion in The Tournament by John Clarke (Melbourne: Text Publishing, 2002) . . .

. . . but this of course is (fantasy) fiction.

The one you have missed is bowls.  There are many references in the diaries to Leonard and Virginia playing bowls on the lawn at Monks House, and inviting their visitors to compete.
