Further, in terms of painting, that the subject of the gaze should so clearly be about to return the gaze 10,000-fold thru the scope suggests the power of the sitters, references the universe, and the artist's sophisticated theory of gaze.
Interesting painting. Is it or is it not by Cornelius Nule?
