A big thank you for this information.  Leslie Hankins has also pointed me
in the direction of Dianne Gillespie, and Mary Ellen Foley has flagged Roma
Goyder’s *Hayseed to Harvest: Memories of Katherine Cox* *and Hayes Court
School*.  I have some pleasurable research ahead of me.
