[Studentfolk] TOMORROW: "The Name of the Rose" film on witchcraft

TOMORROW: The first installation of the CMRS film series!


Join us at 7:30 pm in 180 Hagerty Hall to see The Name of the Rose, a 1986 historical mystery film directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean-Jacques_Annaud>. It stars Sean Connery, Christian Slater and F. Murray Abraham. The plot:  a 14th century Franciscan monk and his young novice arrive at a conference to find that several monks have been murdered under mysterious circumstances. To solve the crimes, William must rise up against the Church's authority and fight the shadowy conspiracy of monastery monks using only his intelligence, which is considerable. Film will be followed by a brief talk and Q+A. Pizza and refreshments will be served. These screenings are free and are open to all.
