Dear All,
This Friday is the first date for the bi-weekly gathering for faculty and graduate students interested in the study of religion. We will meet 10 am - 1 pm every other Friday in 198 Hagerty Hall, starting August 23. This gathering is open to scholars from across central Ohio (and beyond).
Each meeting will have two parts:
Writing Group 10 am - 12 pm
Bring whatever you’re working on and write in a quiet space surrounded by other scholars. We’ll begin each week with a brief opportunity to tell the group about your project or writing goals. Beverages will be provided. It’s fine to join for as much or as little of the time as you can make it.
Lunchtime Seminar 12 pm -1 pm
We’ll have an informal conversation over a catered lunch. This is a chance to share with each other what we wrote that morning, help participants think through problems or “knots” in their writing, and otherwise enjoy each other's company.
It is fine if you can’t join us for each meeting, but we hope you’ll block out these times and dates and make them a part of your schedule for the semester. We are eager to grow our vibrant community of scholars engaged in the academic study of religion.
Here are the dates for Autumn Semester:
8/23 (first week of the semester)
9/6
9/20
10/4
10/18
