[STEM-funding] NSF REE; NSF IUSE proposal preparation workshops

*1) NSF Research in Engineering Education (REE):* The National Science
Foundation has announced the next set of proposal deadlines for its REE
program: January 23 and September 18, 2014.

*2) NSF Improving Undergraduate STEM Education workshops:* AAAS will be
offering a series of web-based workshops to assist prospective PIs who are
applying for NSF's new IUSE program (
http://www.nsf.gov/funding/pgm_summ.jsp?pims_id=504976). The workshop
topics are described in the email below.

AAAS intends have one viewing site per campus, and during the week of
January 6, Ohio State will have a viewing site in the Physics Research
Building (M, Th, F) and Scott Lab (T, W). The AAAS web-based workshops
themselves run from 2:00–4:00 pm; in addition, Ohio State will meet a half
hour before and after (i.e., 1:30–4:30 pm) with research administrators,
former NSF program directors, and others available to address questions
from the Ohio State audience.
