[STEM-funding] Great Lakes College Ready Grant

*1) The Great Lakes College Ready Grant* provides funding for programs to
help 11th and 12th grade students to avoid having to take remedial courses
in mathematics or English when they enter two- or four-year colleges (
http://www.mygreatlakes.org/web/community/content/community/grants/readyOverview.html?navMenuItemSelected=grants).
>From the grant guidelines:

...programs providing direct services to prepare students from
traditionally underserved backgrounds for college-level courses. These
direct services must prepare participating students for college-level
courses so that the majority are able to avoid developmental education as
evidenced by meeting math and/or English college readiness benchmarks as
measured by one of the following: ACT scores, course grades, or college
entrance exam scores.

Proposals may be up to $300,000 for one year. Proposals are due October 17.
