Hey folks,

Thanks for a great planning meeting on Friday! I need two things from you all:


  1.  If you grabbed a time and didn’t give a full title, please send me one!
  2.  Please send me your four favorite options from the list below:

  *   The social meaning of aukaat, possible reading attached
  *   AI in teaching, for reading I’d vote for anything Emily Bender’s written, for example https://buttondown.com/maiht3k/archive/information-is-relational/, but there are many options or we could BYOR it
  *   Depth of processing in indexical perception, readings TBD, probably we’ll split up and read different things and try to synthesize
  *   Sociolx factors in contact, readings TBD
  *   Pragmatic borrowing, readings TBD
  *   Agency in creole formation, readings TBD
  *   Basics on slurs, readings TBD
