> 5700 provides hands-on training in informal science outreach at the Center of Science and Industry (COSI @ http://cosi.org/). You will work at the Language Sciences Research Lab (http://bln.osu.edu/LanguagePod.php), a working linguistics lab inside the museum. You will learn about linguistics research and be trained in how to communicate language sciences information to the public.

> You will spend 3 to 6 hours per week at COSI, explaining the language research to visitors, conducting demonstrations about language science, and assisting in recruitment for ongoing research studies. These COSI hours will replace some regularly scheduled classes and will be scheduled at various times in consultation with students and will include some evening and weekend hours.
