Dear Producers,
If your farm was affected by the tornados on March 14, there are some resources to consider. I encourage you to reach out to your county FSA office for details.<https://www.fsa.usda.gov/state-offices/Ohio/index> See below for a news release sent by USDA sent today.

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Designates 11 Ohio Counties as Primary Natural Disaster Areas due to Tornadoes Occurring on March 14
This Presidential disaster declaration allows the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) to extend much-needed emergency credit to producers recovering from natural disasters through emergency loans<https://www.fsa.usda.gov/programs-and-services/farm-loan-programs/emergency-farm-loans/index>.
Emergency loans can be used to meet various recovery needs including the replacement of essential items such as equipment or livestock, reorganization of a farming operation, or to refinance certain debts. FSA will review the loans based on the extent of losses, security available, and repayment ability. USDA's FSA offers these loans for losses caused by the tornado that occurred on March 14, 2024.
