Midwest folks,

reminder that the Q3 COVID-19 survey is out there and live now! Q3 survey will close Oct 23rd, 2020. Whether your farm is still being negatively impacted OR is now positively impacted as a result of COVID-19, please consider participating in the survey. If you have participated in the other quarters can/should you participate in this quarter? Yes!

See below the NAA's Oct 5th heads up. Information on Q3 has also been discussed on live/recorded presentations and shared on social media (@OSUAquaExt Twitter | @OhioStateAquaculture FB). The 12 Midwest states (same as those in NCRAC's region - https://www.ncrac.org/) had only EIGHT respondents on Q2 - far less than Q1. Please share with your state associations and encourage participation.

Answer the Quarter 3 COVID-19
Economic Impact Survey!

The National Aquaculture Association strongly recommends aquaculture farms and businesses complete this survey.  The information has been provided to Congress, White House and federal agencies to request and support programs, policies and legislation to assist US aquaculture during the pandemic.

In response to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), The Ohio State University and Virginia Tech are collecting information about how your farm or business has been affected by this pandemic. This effort is being repeated quarterly to capture the evolving impacts of coronavirus disease on U.S. aquaculture, aquaponics, and allied businesses.

Please participate in each of the quarterly national surveys during this year. Even if you have not been negatively affected, we would like to hear from you; that will ensure that our results are reflective of what is really happening in the industry. This link is for the Quarter 3 survey, covering the period from June 30th, 2020 to September 30th, 2020.

This survey should take about 25 minutes of your time to complete. No personally identifiable information (name, address, e-mail, telephone number, IP address, etc.) will be collected. All data from this survey will remain anonymous.

This survey will close at 11:59 pm (eastern time) on October 23rd, 2020.

This survey is supported by funding from the National Sea Grant Office (NSGO) and the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). There are no benefits or rewards for participating in this study. Results from this study may be used to communicate the effects of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on commercial aquaculture, aquaponics or allied businesses to State and Federal agencies, in an effort to secure relief. Results from this study may also be published in the future. Participation in this research survey is voluntary. By continuing with this survey, you are consenting to the use of your responses for research purposes. If you do not consent for your responses to be used for research purposes, please discontinue this survey by closing the browser window.
