[Prep Lab Students] Prep Lab Training & Orientation Begins Next Week!

Hi Everyone,

Prep Lab training and begins next week. Everyone (new and returning student employees) are expected to complete all training activities yearly. Attached is the schedule for the week. Any missed sessions must be made up. We will have time on Friday afternoon and during the first week of classes for make-ups. Please remember that training is paid time, so it should not be completed no earlier than your start date.

Time spent on training activities is paid time and should be included on your timesheet. Monday, August 18th
Monday has been set aside for you to complete all your online training and orientation items on your own. As such, you are expected to have these completed by 11:59 pm on August 18th.

Details on these items are available on the Prep Lab Forum<https://osu.instructure.com/courses/49925> (on Carmen). The items listed on the prep lab forum with a due date of 11:59pm on 8/18 are the items we expect you to complete.

Tuesday, August 19th
The TAs will be in lab; we will need two returners to “volunteer” to come in by 8:00am to staff the second-floor lab support window. If you are interested, please send me an email.

We will be working in the lab, so please come with appropriate lab attire on or ready to change into.

The prep lab staff will be providing lunch on Tuesday. The finest Costco has to offer…. Please let me know of any dietary restrictions by the end of this week.

Wednesday, August 20th
Lunch is on your own, so please plan accordingly.

Thursday, August 21st
The TAs will be in lab; we will need four returners to “volunteer” to come in by 8:00am to staff the second-floor and third floor lab support windows. If you are interested, please send me an email.

Friday, August 22nd
Pizza will be provided for lunch. We’ll have time in the afternoon to make up missed training sessions from earlier in the week.
