[Prep Lab Students] Safety

Hi Everyone,

I want to address two items:


  1.  If someone is making you feel uncomfortable in our workspaces, causing you to avoid going into certain areas, etc. please do not hesitate to speak with any of the Prep Lab Staff about it. The sooner we know of the issue, the sooner we can begin work to resolve it.



  1.  In light of the tragic recent events at Florida State University, I want to remind you all of the resources available for situations like this:



The Department of public safety has several resources on their site: https://dps.osu.edu/active-aggressor



Specifically, in Celeste, all doors are lockable.

  *   On the first floor, the door by the ice machine can be locked with the Allen key hanging next to it. The door between the office and lab has a thumb knob. The door from the office into the hallway has a switch under the latch.
  *   On the second and third floors, all doors have a thumb knob. Most, soon to be all, lab rooms have black vinyl shades that can be pulled down to cover the windows by the doors.
