Believe or not, Week 12 starts tomorrow!

Experiment Notes-Refer to the window notes and gather sheets for additional details.

ECE
Students will be using 6-sided dice for the first part of this experiment. If they need more, there should be a supply in the window. Ice will also be needed; students should be directed to the ice machine outside of the restrooms. If you notice students wearing gloves on both hands, please ask them to remove one glove. No additional commentary is needed. Please be polite- they’re still learning.

MGB
Model kits will be provided on the bench by Hood A. We do have replacement parts in 130 CE if needed.

VOL
This one has A LOT of equipment, so we’ll be putting it on the bench beside hood A. Students will be using multimeters. If they report that one is not working properly, please just swap the whole kit for one of the replacements in the window. Fill out a broken equipment sticker and place it on the returned unit. One of the prep lab staff members will look at the “broken” kit. The students will be sanding the oxidation layer off the electrodes. This should be done on the provided cardstock; the card stock should be placed on the provided black plastic tray. The whole sanding procedure should be done under a snorkel. Each room has been provided with 7 trays, since they only have 7 snorkels.

HCAL
GoTemp! Probes are in the lab in a drawer under the oven. USB adapters are also available in this drawer, if needed. Sarah, Emma, or I will take care of the unknown environment.

Other Important Information

First Floor Restroom Closure
As a reminder, the first-floor restrooms in Celeste will be unavailable until sometime in January. During this time, please use the restrooms in the basement, second, third, or fourth floors. There are also restrooms in McPherson, Newman-Wolfram, and Evans. If you need help finding one, just ask.

Linda’s Sink Outage
To facilitate the remodel of the first-floor restrooms, the plumbing to Linda’s sink (by aisle 24) has been turned off. This includes the cold water, hot water, DI water, and drain. Signage has been posted on the sink. This outage will continue until the restroom remodel is completed.

Prep Lab Closed Tuesday November 5th
The prep lab will not be open on Tuesday November 5th. If you would like to make up some hours, please drop in at another time.

GroupMe
We’ve been doing better with monitoring the GroupMe, but there is still room for improvement. Remember, if you are on the clock, you are expected to pay attention to the GroupMe.

Window Tasks
I’m not seeing initials on the mini Daily Sheets in the windows…. We missed a cart move last week. This can’t happen.
