[Preplabstudents] Potential For Spicy Weather

Hi Everyone,

There is a potential for spicy weather soon. Be sure you know what to do in the event of a severe weather emergency. Details on the difference between a tornado watch and warning can be found on the National Weather Service website<https://www.weather.gov/safety/tornado-ww>.

Every building on campus has a Building Emergency Action Plan, BEAP. You have completed an online training about these at some point this academic year. Consider reviewing section 6.13 “Severe Weather Emergencies” of the BEAP for any buildings you may be visiting today.

If a tornado warning is issued, and you are in Celeste:
Do not wait for instructions. Equipment in use should be turned off. Labs should evacuated & locked. Everyone should proceed to the basement and wait in the areas shaded in green below. If the weather service allows the tornado warning to expire, this will serve as your all-clear.
