[Preplabstudents] Week 6

Hi Everyone,

Up next is week 6. Let’s try to make this one go smoother than last week.

Remember, nothing is traded for a Buck-ID at the window anymore. The window cart should be put out in the morning and stored in the window overnight. The red boxes on the floor in 140/150/160 should be kept clear at all times. If you see anyone leave something in these boxes, please remind them to move it.

Experiment Highlights-Refer to the window notes for additional details

SHM

Cups and Lids will need to be replenished between lab by the window personnel.

LLT

Burets and pipets are on the window carts. Keep an eye on these, they will likely need to be replenished. We are working on getting a new batch of lemon and lime juice. The students will need to use the stuff we do have for the time-being.

LCP

We’ll need to put a cooler of ice on the third floor- it can be filled from the machine on the second floor.

IHT

Cups and Lids will need to be replenished between lab by the window personnel.

MGB

Model kits will be on the bottom of the cart.

Other Important Information-

Student Questions

When students come to the window with lab assignment questions, you should always defer the question to the TAs or the lab supervisors.

Headphones

Headphones are not permitted at any time while you are on the clock. The includes in the office space, windows, and labs.

Timeslots that could use some additional people

If you have room in your schedule and want some extra hours, please consider taking some of the times listed below. Email me if you are interested.

Monday 1:30pm-3:00pm
Tuesday 7:30am-8:00am
Wednesday 1:00pm-3:00pm, 9:00pm-10:00pm
Thursday 12:00pm-1:00pm, 7:00pm-10:00pm
Friday 8:00am-9:30am, 1:30pm-3:00pm, 4:30pm-6:00pm

Waste Sheets

There is a silver basket in each window for completed waste sheets. It seems to be convenient to just place this in the window opening for TAs to drop off their waste sheets.

The silver basket on the Daily Sheet cabinet is now only for completed lab readiness checklists.
