[Preplabstudents] Follow Up From Today

Hi Everyone,

We’re nearly finished our first day of lab. Things went pretty well!

I wanted to pass along a few notes and reminders:

Locking/Unlocking


  *   If you are assigned to unlock labs at the start of the day, please also unlock the window on the assigned floor.
     *   Note: currently 210, 310, 220, 320, and the second floor window have temporary lock cores that are opened by the construction core keys (#4 and #13 in Keyth) either key will open all these doors.
  *   When assigned to unlock/lock doors and complete a lab readiness check, first unlock all doors so that everyone can start to get settled in, then start your checks.
  *   When you are done with a lab readiness checklist, please put it in the silver basket on the top of the gather sheet cabinet.

Window Shifts


  *   It’s super helpful to make a stack of materials for each class that will be happening nest. If you do this, when the TA shows up you can just hand them the stack of items and they can get started prepping their lab. This also give you a chance to see if anything is missing in advance.
  *   Please be sure to walk around the floor at least once per session to clean up any goggle boxes that have fallen out of the trash. Trash bags are available at each window. If you run out, just send a message in the GroupMe or call down to 145 CE.

Training

Please continue to work on completing any outstanding training items. Remember, training time is paid time. This includes online training.
